Coordinated by the FEWD team and advised by an international multi- and interdisciplinary board.
EAARA is the practical outcome of the already 2001 established FEWD animal advocacy research area.

The FEWD will award yearly the EAARA to especially important, already published academic peer reviewed publications on the following two large research areas.
1.) Social Sciences and there especially the discipline
Sociology with special focus on social movement and / or political science
Political science with special focus on comparative and / or theoretical / philosophical aspects
(Further on is planned to establish another focus
2.) Law with special focus on comparative and / or theoretical / philosophical / social science
Especially supported will be systematic / scoping reviews.
Particularly when connecting these topics with research on civil society, etc.
Special support will receive research connected with the CEE / SEE region.
