The EAARA is coordinated by the FEWD through a multi- and interdisciplinary board of University of Vienna based researcher.
Certainly, additionally advised by an international board of experts.
EAARA is the practical outcome of the already 2001 established FEWD animal advocacy research area, especially the Vienna Animal Advocacy Lecture - https://www.fewd.at/aa/vaal
And the EAARA is central part of the yearly also multi- and interdisciplinary EAAW - European Animal Advocacy Workshop – https://www.fewd.at/eaaw
Supported and financed will be the EAARA through the LRKF - Lengauer Rupert und Karoline Foundation, see https://www.fewd.at/lrkf
The FEWD will award yearly the EAARA to especially important, already published academic peer reviewed publications on the following two large research areas.
1.) Social Sciences and there especially the discipline
Sociology with special focus on social movement and / or political science
Political science with special focus on comparative and / or theoretical / philosophical aspects
(Further on is planned to establish another focus
2.) Law with special focus on comparative and / or theoretical / philosophical / social science
Especially supported will be systematic / scoping reviews.
Particularly awarded will be publications when connecting these topics with research on civil society, etc.
Special support will receive research connected with the CEE / SEE region.
