Welcome to the FEWD Animal Advocacy Poland page!

The multi- and interdisciplinary FEWD Animal-Advocacy.eu research project at University of Vienna has two main goals:

 The first is to provide inspiration to people from different academic disciplines as they explore avenues for their own research.
The second is to encourage rational public discourse and dialogue about animal advocacy in civil society. The move to a society that is more humane and focused on species justice depends crucially on both empathy and rational argumentation.

Please visit also  Zoophilologica - Polish Journal of Animal Studies. It is the first and, hitherto, only scientific journal in Central and Eastern Europe devoted to cultural and social issues presented from the broad perspective of human-animal studies

Useful is also our rumentary but still slowly devoloping   multidisciplinary bibliography - main focus on law   about Animal Advocacy in Poland.

The whole FEWD animal advocacy reseach area will be supported in the medium term by the publication grant of the Rupert and Karoline Lengauer Foundation. 

 Important academic partner for our plannend call for paper are the department of Slavonic Studies at the University of Vienna.
